Mythology and Symbolism

Emerging artist of the moment, Robert Lőrincz (b. 1995, Sfântu Gheorghe) explores and rediscovers the power of the visual inspired by mythology and symbolism. His characters, strongly individualized through details such as clothing, physical features, are captured in a state of deep reverie, creating a rather unhistoric space.

Róbert Lőrincz completed his studies at the Painting Faculty of the University of Art and Design in Cluj Napoca (master's degree - 2019 and bachelor's degree - 2017). He is also a graduate of the "Plugor Sándor'' Art High School in Sfântu Gheorghe (class of 2014). Between the school years, there were a lot of prizes and successes, the most notable being won in 2013 at the "Carmen Sylva'' National Competition for Young Talents, Painting category, with 5 works, presented at the temporary exhibition at the Pelișor Castle in Sinaia or the distinction with diploma and medal at the Festive Gala for the 550th anniversary of the city of Sfântu Gheorghe, in December 2011, at the "Tamási Áron" Theatre.
