Giulian Octav Dumitriu is an atypical and versatile artist, always looking for new lines and directions in art. Graduate of the Sculpture Department of the Nicolae Grigorescu Faculty of Arts within the University of Bucharest, he created and creates both in Romania, Italy and France. He participated in personal and group exhibitions, as well as international art fairs. His sculptures are spread all over the world (France, Italy, Israel, USA, Germany, Belgium, Great Britain, Spain, Romania, etc).

Until now, he has been involved or coordinated restoration projects of heritage buildings or monuments in collaboration with specialists from Italy and tRomania. Continuing the idea that art and beauty can also have a functional role, he collaborates with architects and interior designers together with whom he creates unique or small series pieces for projects in residential areas, office buildings, hotels and restaurants.

Giulian Dumitriu's art does not fit a particular category. As one of his collectors stated, "Giulian has an extraordinary sense of materials, the shape of which transforms under his touch. An amalgam of impatience and of an explosion of feelings, with attention to little details thrown in."
