Hamid Nicola Katrib is one of Romania’s most appreciated young architects. Born in 1982 in Bacau (Romania), Hamid spent his childhood in Lebanon, where he studied at Collège Notre-Dame du Balamand, and then graduated the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts (ALBA) of Beirut. He completed his studies with the Interior Architecture Master degree at the same Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts and he received the “majeur de promotion” distinction.

Hamid began his artistic career by participating at various school contests and collective exhibitions in Beirut, between 2004-2006. In 2006, he took part in a humanitarian artistic project that consisted in imortalizing paintings of ruins of a Lebanese neighborhood destroyed by bomging. The artworks have been exposed in Arabic countries and Latin America, with the aim of raising funds for reconstructing the affected area. While staying in Lebanon, Hamid developed many decorating projects, including royal palaces and holiday houses in Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Quatar. 

In 2007, Hamid established in Romania and opened his own architecture and interior design office, Crea Decoration. His projects include rebrandings and decorating all types of spaces, from luxury apartments, casinos, pensions, holiday houses, to restaurants and stores. 

Hamid Nicola Katrib’s projects have been published in the most important interior design magazines and brought him the 1st Prize at Insign Awards for two consecutive years, 2013 and 2014. His appearance in Romanian TV shows and his nomination in Forbes’ top ”30 under 30” helped him build the image of a professional exemplary in achitecture and decoration.

Over the years, Hamid hasn’t neglected his passion for painting, launching now the third art exhibition, L’univers efemere at Galateca Gallery (Bucharest, Romania)in 2016. The previous exhibitions, Moods, at Penthouse Gallery, and Efemere at Iconic Food Wine and Design, took place in 2012 and 2014.

Now his paintings are also exhibited at Zenith art & fashion Gallery in Miami , and will be exposed in the gallery During Miami art Bazel 2017 circuit . "
