Muzeul pentru artă modernă și contemporană Pavel Șușară (MAMCO)

Art Based on Research and Craft

The "Pavel Șușară" modern and contemporary art foundation, known as the Pavel Șușară Modern and Contemporary Art Museum (MAMCO), operates in a modern space of about 400 square meters in an interwar villa located on Intrarea Viitorului street no. 4 sector 2, Bucharest.

The space was opened to the public in 2018, and since then dozens of events have been organized: personal and collective art exhibitions, the national miniature salon, documentary film releases, meetings with the public on history and art history, participation in the NAG framework, stamp issue launches and other events in partnership with various institutions and museums in Romania.

The Foundation's program focuses, in particular, on the promotion of modern and contemporary Romanian art, but also includes in its discourse events, art exhibitions of foreign artists, as long as their work falls within the type of curatorial vision that promotes art based on research and by trade, without ideological stakes and without propagandistic vocation.
