Mihai Ionescu is a Romanian visual artist and curator, holding a Master’s degree in Painting from the National University of Arts in Bucharest (UNArte). He is known for founding TDV ART in Bucharest, described in media as the first known 24/7 art gallery in the world, as well as for developing the Bionantism theme. Since 2010, he has organized and curated numerous exhibitions, including the “Tablouri de Vis” series held at the Romanian Parliament between 2011–2018. He has collaborated with cultural institutions and contributed to exhibition projects within museum spaces. Between 2015 and 2016, he created and hosted the cultural TV program “Zoom Cultural”. His practice extends to initiating international art competitions and developing editorial projects in contemporary art, alongside participation in major international biennials.
