Flavia Lupu (b. 1986) is a Romanian visual artist and Lecturer at the National University of Arts Bucharest. She holds a PhD in Visual Arts from the same institution, focusing on the relationship between the human body, image, and political representation in contemporary art. Her artistic practice is complex and multidisciplinary, covering painting, photography, installation, performance, and AI-based media. Flavia has exhibited extensively in Romania and internationally. Her work addresses themes like identity, memory, and the interaction between visual representation and socio-political structures. In parallel, she has held key roles in cultural institutions, including leadership and curatorial positions within the Romanian Cultural Institute and involvement in major events such as the Bucharest Biennale. Her activity has been recognized through awards and professional distinctions.
