Corina Păcurar(1990) lives and works in Cluj-Napoca, where she graduated from the University of Art and Design. Her artistic practice revolves around drawing, with pastel and charcoal as primary media through which she constructs a highly subjective visual universe, situated at the intersection of memory, lived experience and dream imagery. Her lastest works explore the vulnerable comfort, a subject that marks the femicides happening in Romania in 2025. The mattresses portray the symbol of absolute comfort, a safe space where people feel at ease. In these cases, the safe space is desecrated by violence and the bed becomes a witness. Corina Păcurar has exhibited extensively in solo and group exhibitions in Romania and abroad, including Almost, but not quite the world ( 3:e Vaningen, Sweden, 2026) Transhumance 2.0 (Studio 44 Gallery, Stockholm, 2025), Young Blood 3.0(Art Safari, Bucharest, 2024), Towards a Shared Vision (Centrul de Interes, Cluj-Napoca, 2023), and The Sunset Sleeps(Centrul de Interes, Cluj-Napoca, 2020).
