The Eye Must Become Sun-Like to Behold the Light is a cross-disciplinary exhibition from the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca that explores vision as an embodied, active process. By bringing together Photography–Video and Ceramics, it rethinks the lens both as both optical and philosophical medium. The camera sketches moments; the kiln solidifies time. Through these mediums, perception becomes tactile, affective, and transformative. Referencing Plato and Barthes, the exhibition questions not just how we see, but what seeing does to us. It proposes that art is not a mirror but a passage—where image, material, and viewer are mutually changed.
