Smaranda Piliuță

Through her paintings, Smaranda Piliuță shapes her own vision of reality. Line, form, gesture, linear codes, the technique of the instruments used, expressiveness, and subject matter come together to form a complex constellation within her works. The artist's creative impulse is released abruptly—face to face with the viewer—inviting questions and understanding, without completely closing off channels of communication. Smaranda seeks to teach us how to live in the spirit of the joy of color when standing before her paintings. As her father, the painter Constantin Piliuță, used to say: "Art doesn't need vowels or consonants—it's either good or not, depending on your soul." Born on December 5, 1978, Smaranda Piliuță is a graduate of the Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism.
