Rone is an artist in perpetual search of essences and concerned with the metamorphosis of forms. Through a frequently playful approach to various themes, his painting positions itself at the boundary between the real and the imaginary, seeking the imperceptible through an altered modern game that oscillates between constructivism and deconstructivism. This game and its many facets remain central to his creative endeavor. Born in Bucharest in 1968, he studied painting at the Nicolae Grigorescu Academy of Arts between 1990 and 1994. In 1995, he moved to France, and after spending eleven years in Paris—where he deepened his artistic education and worked with several galleries—he returned to Romania. Since 2010, he has exhibited regularly in Berlin, while also holding several solo exhibitions and participating in events such as Artsafari and Mobu Art in Bucharest.
