Celula de Artă is a Bucharest-based artist-run initiative active for over eight years, operating as a network of small, permanent exhibition spaces. We curate and produce projects locally in Bucharest, nationally, and internationally—recently through formats such as Celula Free Air and Once upON the Danube. We work both with emerging artists, helping them gain visibility and momentum, and with independent artists who are established or on a clear path to recognition. Our program foregrounds process, material history, and risk: assemblage, collage logics, paintings, photography, sound, video and new-media hybrids. At MoBU 2026 we present works that bridge the analogue and the post-digital, with an emphasis on tactile presence and sharp ideas.
